“I promise to dedicate my life to service.”
— Jamila E. Daniel
I’m Being Earthlings’ founder and CEO.
As an Earthling myself, I care about this planet and all life on it.
I was a Cultural Anthropology student at Rutgers University, New Brunswick when I visited the countryside outside Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The people I saw living amongst the the grassy green landscapes looked like they could be my family. While I saw a beauty that inspired me and made me feel at peace, I also saw unjustifiable poverty. That was when I made a promise to myself to dedicate my life to service.
I have since helped drive the missions of businesses and nonprofits internationally. Through Being Earthlings I continue to support small organizations, individuals, and large corporations by writing grant proposals, conducting research, consulting on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA), and supporting on an array of diverse projects.
I hold a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from Cornell University and a BA in Cultural Anthropology from Rutgers University. I am a certified Systems Thinking Trainer, hold a certificate in Leveraging Diversity and Inclusion for Organizational Success from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and am a Certified Yoga Instructor. I sit on the Board of Directors for CISV USA and for Middleton-Cooke Farms. Learn more about my work through my CV or my LinkedIn page.
A bit of a Digital Nomad, I’ve lived in Mexico for over two years, currently based in Oaxaca, Mexico.
I look forward to meeting you and serving your valuable mission.
With light,
Jamila E. Daniel
